Having such a blast recreating the classic Vans’ checkered colorway. Sculpting details in Pixologic’s ZBrush is almost done. I reach for Allegorithmic’s Substance Designer for procedural texturing because it’s so powerful. Take a closer look at the fabric swatches at the end of the image set for textures. Fabric geometry was simulated using Marvelous Designer because I like to keep my sanity and don’t really care to create garments using anything else lol. Also, SideFX Software Houdini really came in clutch to help with a bit of the procedural modeling. As you might have guessed, I’m all about procedural these days. More updates coming soon...
